Cheetara called him "different" because of his actions. ![]() He expressed his hopes and dreams of technology to become one with the people. Lion-O and Cheetara then traveled to a nearby shop that held technology, which Lion-O was interested in. She wondered why a Prince was in the slums, and when the thugs found out he was the Prince, they scattered. He refused and instead fought them until Cheetara arrived and ended the fight. When some thugs were bullying a humanoid Dog and overheard Lion-O's comments, they told him to pay up. He was often disgusted by the mistreatment of other animals living in the slums. ![]() They were both even trained at an early age by Thunderian Generals Grune and Panthro.Īs Lion-O grew older, he would often visit the slums of Thundera in secret to obtain old artifacts of so-called technology. Over the years, he grew to love Tygra, and both siblings would look out for one another. However, Tygra instantly regretted it and went to find help. His relationship with Tygra was unsteady during their childhood, due to Tygra's competitive streak and favoritism by the people of Thundera, especially after an experience that occurred within the Forbidden ruins, in which Tygra would push Lion-O into a pit. Sometimes, Claudus would openly show his favoritism towards Tygra over Lion-O, but nevertheless, he loved Lion-O and hoped he would be ready to become King one day. Claudus would disapprove of his son's behavior and personality, constantly trying to change him to be more like his favored older brother. A bigger focus on action, some deeper story elements and actual character development. There are elements of the late 2000's / early 2010's in the production. If there's one thing I seriously hated about the original was Snarf. The show is darker, a lot more adult and thank Jaga they changed Snarf into a pet and not a constant whine machine. This one however I liked and I was kinda bummed that it only got one season. Some were really well done and others were obvious cash grabs. But then something happened in the earlier part of this decade and these old favorites were revived and given new life. I managed to track down a couple copies of them and let me tell you they don't hold up like they used to. But they had some basic charm to them and let's face it, it wasn't like we had the most discerning taste back then. ![]() Seriously GI Joe, Transformers, Thundercats, Silverhawks, He-Man, they were all 22 minute commercials for the toy line. A lot of cartoons we loved and watched in the 80's had one thing in common.
